Houston, Texas · Allied in the York Rite
The building, and therebuilding, of the Temple.
Allied bodies of the York Rite, one continuous journey — carrying forward the ancient story of King Solomon’s Temple, its raising, its loss, and its recovery, in fellowship and in faith.
“Let uprightness and integrity attend your steps.”
— The Charge of the Cryptic Rite
One rite, told in chapters of a single story.
For a Master Mason who seeks further light, the York Rite continues the work begun in the Blue Lodge. It is not one organisation but several constituent bodies — each governed independently, each conferring its own degrees and orders, yet bound together in a single, progressive narrative.
Together they teach the complete story of Ancient Craft Masonry: the building of King Solomon’s Temple, its destruction, and its rebuilding. These bodies meet as neighbours in that shared labour — and this is their common house.
Received in order. United in purpose.
A Master Mason joins the York Rite in sequence — the Chapter, then the Council. These bodies meet in Houston and work in alliance, each governed independently.
